Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January 1986) is an English lingerie and catwalk model, and television model and TV. She was the runner-up of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and was the winner of the series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the second-oldest of four children born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was raised in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and attended St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy founded the girl band Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was one of thirteen finalists for Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model's second cycle in 2006. The contest lasted for ten weeks for a modeling contract. Clancy made it to the final runway show with fellow contestant Lianna Fowler. She eventually became the runner up. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy modelled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was on the cover for Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was chosen for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Clancy was highlighted for her athletic background and was photographed in only bodypaint for the magazine. Yu Tsai captured the photo. Clancy was featured as a model in Umbro sportswear's campaign for 2010. Clancy walked the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July 2013, Clancy appeared as a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. She was included in a fashion editorial from Absynth Photographic as in a fashion documentary made by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modeled for the August 2011 UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013 Clancy was featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on British Marie Claire's July 2014 cover and British Elle's March 2015 cover. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch, their daughter, collaborated for the Launch of Lipsy's AW'19 collection. The collection was launched in UAE in January 2020.
