Miley Ray Cyrus is an American performer, actress musician, actor, and songwriter. She is known for her distinctive, raspy voice, her music combines elements from many styles and genres, including pop, country pop hip hop, experimental, and rock. With a total of thirteen songs, Cyrus is the female artist to have had the most US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st Century. Her public life, personal image, and performances often provoked controversy and received widespread media coverage. Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus country music singer, became an idol in her teens, when she was the main character on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006-2011). In her role as Hannah Montana, she attained three top five and two number-one songs on the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's personal discography includes US top-ranked albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012) as well as the top five releases Can't Be Tamed (2017) and Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); as well as Miley Cyrus & His Dead Petz (2015). The EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She is Coming (2019) were also made it to the top five. Plastic Hearts, Cyrus' most beloved album, premiered at top of the Billboard Charts for Rock. It included the lead single, "Midnight Sky". Other singles by her include the US top ten charts "See You Again", "7 Things", "The Climb", "Party in the U.S.A.", "Can't Be Tamed", "We Can't Stop", "Malibu", "Without You"; and the chart-topping "Wrecking Ball". The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed "Party in America" as an official Diamond. Cyrus's accomplishments include being included in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award and placement on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Artists List in 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. As an actress, Cyrus was featured in animated films Bolt (2008) as well as the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and The Last Song (2010). On TV, Cyrus played coach on the singing competition show The Voice across two seasons, and starred in the episode "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" of the Netflix series Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a fervent advocate for the rights of animals. In 2014, she decided to adopt an animal-free lifestyle. She established the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. It focuses on young people's homeless and the LGBT community.
